A butt lift using cog threads is a minimally invasive thread lift procedure designed to lift, firm, and enhance the shape of the buttocks. The technique involves threads, often numbering 4–6 per buttock, which are preloaded on a blunt-tipped, hollow cannula and inserted under the skin. These threads feature tiny barbs (cogs) that grasp the underlying tissue to reposition and tighten the skin. Once the thread is tightened, the blunt cannula is removed without leaving a scar.
While some clients notice immediate lifting, the full and lasting results typically develop over 4–6 weeks as the threads stimulate collagen production, which strengthens the surrounding tissue. Results vary depending on individual factors such as body type, skin elasticity, and lifestyle.
